As a documentary wedding photographer, my approach is discreet and unobtrusive. I capture your day as it happens and everything that makes it unique as well as the moments you loved and the bits you may not have seen. I am a Cotswolds Wedding Photographer and cover weddings in and around Bristol, Bath, Wiltshire, Somerset, Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire.

If you’re a couple that doesn’t feel comfortable posing in front of a camera and prefers a much more natural approach to wedding photography, you’ve come to the right place! Couples I’ve worked with say their photos bring back the emotions and excitement of the day and that they felt very much at ease in front of the camera because they hardly noticed me. I love photographing people and believe that the best photos are often taken when people aren’t aware of it, so the majority of the photos you will receive from me will be completely natural.

I’ve had the pleasure of photographing over 200 weddings so far throughout the South West of the UK. As a documentary wedding photographer, 90% of the photos you will receive from me will be completely natural. Couples I’ve worked with say they hardly noticed me. And most of the time, that’s what I aim for – to blend in and observe, anticipate emotions and capture these in an unobtrusive way. I say most of the time, because there are times when I’ll have to raise my voice in order to gather everyone and manage the situation.

To keep portrait sessions relaxed and fun, I’d ask you to focus on each other rather than on the camera. There are no set rules to when and how long you’d like this session to be. It really depends on how important these photos are to you. To make sure you don’t spend too much time away from your guests, I do always recommend keeping these sessions fairly short and breaking them up throughout the day.

There aren’t many times in life when all of your loved ones will be in one place together and I think everyone deserves to have this wonderful and unique experience beautifully captured from beginning to end. I will provide you with a set of images that will remind you of every treasured moment of the day and that brings your memories to life for years to come.

My standard package includes approx. 10 hours of coverage on the day. This means you have me from the preparations all the way through to your first dance, depending on your schedule. Approximately one month before your big day, we’ll have a chat so you can fill me in on all the details and I can make sure I capture the moments that are most important to you both.
