WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY AT GOLDNEY HALL

Goldney Hall wedding photography is all about elegant gardens, historic architecture, and relaxed celebrations tucked away in the heart of Bristol.

For me Goldney Hall in Clifton is up there with the best wedding venues in Bristol. A true hidden gem and a pleasure to photograph time and time again. It’s one of those places you could walk past a hundred times and never know what’s hiding behind the wall. It still surprises me every time I walk in. I’ve photographed a few weddings here now and it never gets old. It’s a private, peaceful venue and totally unexpected in the middle of Clifton.

The wisteria-covered orangery is one of the highlights for me. It’s a beautiful warm, light-filled spot for the wedding breakfast. The backdrop never fails to add a bit of magic to the photos, without needing to pose or stage anything. The setting of Goldney Hall does a lot of the work, so I can focus on the real stuff such as connection, emotion and the in-between moments.

The grounds are full of little surprises. A true paradise for a wedding photographer if you ask me! I love taking couples out for a stroll to the various different spots these gardens have to offer. The pond, the tower, the views, and not to mention the grotto. It feels almost otherworldly, often a big hit with wedding guests wandering around the grounds.

Goldney Hall is full of character, and perfect for people who want to do things their own way. Fun fact: the orangery was used as a filming location for Dr Watson’s wedding in the BBC series Sherlock!

If you’re planning a Goldney Hall wedding and want to have a call with me to find out more about my wedding photography services then drop me a line. I’d love to hear from you. It’s a brilliant place to celebrate, not to mention to photograph!
