London-based Joanna & Michael came back to the Cotswolds for their unforgettable wedding day at Westonbirt House. What an absolutely pleasure it was to capture this for them.

Joanna and Michael’s wedding was a quintessential Cotswold celebration — intimate, heartfelt, and beautifully grounded in the local landscape.

They started their day with a Catholic ceremony in Cirencester, Gloucestershire, surrounded by close family and friends. It was warm and emotional — the kind of ceremony that feels properly rooted in meaning. After that, everyone headed over to Westonbirt House for the reception.

Westonbirt House is something else. A Grade I listed Victorian mansion tucked into 210 acres of parkland near Tetbury, it’s the sort of venue that makes your jaw drop when you first arrive. Sweeping drive, grand vistas, and the kind of gardens that make you want to stay forever.

Joanna and Michael arrived to cheers and a good dose of confetti. Everyone was beaming. The sun was out, drinks and canapés were flowing in the gardens, and the roses were in full bloom — classic June.

Joanna looked incredible. She did her own makeup (nailed it), and even made her own wedding cake. Her bridesmaids — her sister and a group of best mates — brought so much fun and love to the day.

We took some time in the Italian Gardens for couple portraits. Soft light, quiet moments, and that feeling of calm in the middle of the buzz. Later, just before the party really kicked off, we strolled down to the lake. Joanna had this long veil — she flung it up with one arm and it caught the breeze like magic. One of those shots that just works.

The dance floor later was wild — one guest danced so hard they ended up in A&E (they were fine, thankfully). Honestly, it was a day full of joy, connection, and a whole lot of heart.
