A bit about me

According to a recent personality test, I’m an “entertainer” — someone who loves vibrant experiences, engages in life eagerly and takes pleasure in discovering the unknown. Well, that about sums me up! I’ve always loved getting to know people, and that’s what I enjoy most about this job.

My passion for photography started with nature and landscapes, but everything changed when I discovered the satisfaction of creating images that mean something to people. I realised how powerful it is to hold onto a connection or a moment - all in a single photograph.

In 2015, I took the leap and started Judith Parkyn Photography. A year later, I left my marketing job to focus on the business full-time. After nine years in Bristol, I moved to the Cotswolds with my husband, two young boys and our ginger cat. When I’m not taking photos, I spend all of my time with them. They are my world.

Since starting my business, I’ve photographed over 150 families and more than 200 weddings in and around the Cotswolds. Many clients return year after year, and I love seeing familiar faces, watching families and their stories grow over time.

Today, that love of capturing people also shapes my work with businesses. I really enjoy showing off the heart of a brand through personal branding portraits or shooting authentic, people-centred commercial imagery. My goal is always the same however: to tell a story with impact.
