Swindon Wedding Photography
Earlier this year I was approached by the lovely Sadie & Simon to photograph the afternoon of their wedding day. The ceremony took place at a beautiful, rustic-looking church in Wanborough, only a 5 minute drive away from Sadie & Simon’s house in Swindon, Wiltshire. (Fun fact: It also happens to be one of only a handful of English churches with both a tower AND a spire!)
It was the end of the summer and the church’s grounds were filled with all sorts of foliage which created lots of little spots ideal for intimate wedding photos. Even though it had been raining pretty heavily in the morning, it stopped pretty much as soon as Sadie’s limo arrive and she started making her way up to the church. The sun even made a brief appearance as the confetti went up in the air. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect!
Whilst the guests made their way to the reception venue, The Holiday Inn, Sadie, Simon and I stayed behind. I asked them to walk around the church and underneath the foliage. Aside from using this time for photos together, it was also a perfect opportunity for the two of them to take some time out as husband and wife. I always try to keep these sessions as relaxed as possible and only give direction if required. It’s safe to say this worked a treat for Sadie & Simon.
I will leave you with a small selection of the photographs below. I hope you enjoy them 🙂
