WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY AT OWLPEN MANOR
One of my favourite venues in the Cotswolds, Owlpen Manor truly is a hidden gem — with its old stone cottages and quiet valley views. Dogs welcome, seasons always bringing something different, always full of character.
Owlpen Manor is one of those places I never get tired of. I first photographed a wedding there back in 2017, and I’ve been back loads of times since. It’s tucked away in a quiet valley near Uley — feels like the kind of place you’d only find if someone showed you. And once you’ve been, you sort of want to keep it to yourself.
It’s got so much going for it. There’s a tiny old church just a short walk from the house if you’re having a religious ceremony, or you can get married outside in the gardens, or inside the Cider Barn if the weather’s not playing ball. I've photographed weddings there in all seasons including the occasional downpour (ask Hugo how we managed that one!) and bright summer sunshine. It’s brilliant every time.
What I really like is how it all feels really relaxed. There are loads of little cottages for family to stay over, and separate spaces for both of you to get ready without bumping into each other. The whole thing just flows. And yep, dogs are welcome — always a bonus.
Photo-wise, you’re spoilt for choice. Rolling hills, woods, wildflowers, stone buildings with heaps of character — you could honestly just take a walk around the grounds and get everything you need. No need to overthink it.
If you’re after an Owlpen Manor wedding photographer who’ll keep things chilled, blend in, and capture the day as it actually felt — I’d love to hear from you.
“Judith is perfection. Beautiful photos, lovely to deal with, made everything easy and put everyone at their ease. We would recommend her in a heartbeat.”
