Lacock Family Photoshoot

In April 2021 I had the pleasure of meeting this wonderful family on their farm near Lacock, Wiltshire. We all got up nice and early to catch the beautiful morning light and it was well worth it. Though it was a bit chilly for the girls in their dresses they didn’t show it at all. They were so lovely and warmed up to me very quickly despite the cold.

We went for a long walk around the farm’s land looking for bluebells. It turned out we were a little early for the majority of bluebells but a little local stream surrounded by wild garlic provided the perfect backdrop. The girls were so comfortable here as they play here all the time (what a life!). A familiar environment such as this is always a good choice when photographing children. No need to get used to a studio with lots of bright lights but instead they got to play in their own back yard.

For this photoshoot I didn’t need to plan much at all. I simply let the family enjoy themselves on one of their morning walks as if I wasn’t there, allowing me to capture them at their most natural. And in a truly magical place. Below is a selection of the images of this lovely sunny morning.
