Swallows Nest Barn Wedding Photography – Lucie & Matthew
Lucie and Matthew’s Swallows Nest Barn wedding was such a fun day and I loved every minute of it. The ceremony took place at a lovely little church in Leek Wootton near Warwick, a very convenient five minute walk from Lucie’s parents’ house. After the I do’s and some drinks outside the church, everyone headed to Swallows Nest Barn for the party. Swallows Nest Barn is a family-run barn conversion set within the heart of the stunning Warwickshire countryside.
This was an unforgettable day filled with lots of laughs, fun and great food. We had Lucie’s dad break out in song during his speech (his new found hobby of playing the ukulele is to blame here). Matthew was suitably embarrassed by his two best men’s speeches – that’s all I will say about that. Lucie, Matthew and I sneaked outside for a set of photos with a backdrop of the world’s best sunset (lucky us!). And what better way is there to cut a cake than with an 11-inch sword?
The highlight for me was when Lucie’s grandmother spotted the traditional French wedding cake that was identical to her own wedding cake many years ago; a handcrafted croquembouche by Fancy That Wedding Cakes. Lucie kept this a surprise from her grandmother and asked me to capture the moment she clocked the cake. As you’ll see from the photos below, it’s safe to say that this went down very well!
As for the other wedding suppliers, Lucie’s wonderful flowers were done by All Seasons Floral Supplies and her sensational dress is from True Romantica Bridal. The boys looked very sharp in their suits from The Wedding Barn and the talented singer-songwriter Steve Young was responsible for the many dance floor fillers late into the night.
Without further ado, below are the photos of this incredible Swallows Nest Barn wedding… Enjoy! If you’re getting married at this stunning venue and are looking for someone to capture your wedding for you, please get in touch. I’d love to help.
What a wonderful selection of informal and meaningful photos–will bring lots of nostalgic memories in the years ahead
