BATH FAMILY PHOTOSHOOT IN SUMMER

I spent a sunny July afternoon at the Royal Crescent with a lovely Canadian family who were visiting Bath for their summer holiday. They had booked a ninety minute session right in the centre of the city and it turned out to be one of those shoots that feels easy from the moment we meet.
Their two girls settled into the session straight away. Children, no matter what age, often need a little time to warm up but these two were completely at ease from the get-go. They laughed, chatted, chased each other across the grass and forgot about the camera in the best possible way. Those natural moments are always my favourite. The small glances, the laughter that comes out of nowhere, the way a family leans into each other without realising it.
The Royal Crescent and the surrounding streets is a place I never get tired of. The architecture is very typical of Bath and there are some lovely little streets nearby that are full of character. Families can breathe a little there and I think that always shows in the photographs. We walked around, paused wherever the light felt good and just let the afternoon unfold.
By the end of the session they had a beautiful collection of images that captured their time in Bath. Real memories from a real day. I love meeting people from all over the world and sharing some of the most picturesque parts of Bath. Every Bath family photoshoot reminds me how special it is to be invited into these moments and to give families something they can hold onto long after the holiday ends.
